Kris Fuller
I'm Kris Fuller! I am a local Vernon artist who loves to inspire kindness, confidence, and creativity. I am on the board of the Okanagan Artists of Canada Society and I love painting with bright colours and acrylics.
I graduated from the University of Alberta with an Education /Fine Arts degree. I've sold and commissioned paintings to Puerto Rico, England, the USA and all over Canada. From 2015-2019 I owned and operated 123Artful where I taught thousands of people to "unleash their inner artist" with step by step instruction, energy and enthusiasm. One of my greatest joys was seeing people find joy and delight in their abilities and unlocking creativity (that I believe is in us all! We just need to go for it.) I'm excited to offer this fun class online during Culture Days!
Why do I paint? I love creating and playing with colors; I like bright and bold and my greatest happiness is bringing joy to others. It's so exciting to be doing what I love; I hope my work makes you smile. I work with acrylics and I love using additional media such as gels, crackles and pastes. My style is bright, bold and somewhere between abstract and impressionism.
One of my favorite all time artists is Georgia O'Keefe - I love her big, beautiful flowers! She also has a feisty spirit and I love that too. One of my favorite local artists is Nancy Vince-I love her concept of Happy Art and the whimsical fun of her works; and of course, the colors.
