UBC ARTIVISM Festival: Politics of the Body

From September 6 to October 13, UBC Artivism engages through the theme Politics of the Body by amplifying underrepresented voices, with an emphasis on the liberation and diverse expressions of the marginalized body, both politically and artistically. Presented by UBC Arts and Culture District 2022 festival Artistic Director Helena Miranda and Artistic Producer Vanessa Matsubara in partnership with the Exposure UBC student club team, this annual festival highlights stories of resilience and student activist art that challenges dominant narratives through live performances, poetry, music and more. With a wide range of activities and events, there is something for everyone.
