About

Kasuri: An illuminated sculpture inspired by the brushed visual effect of Japanese “kasuri” fabric and mystical floating souls in Japanese folktales. It is made of densely strung fluorescent-painted cords, suspended and rotated in the gate-like steel-tube structure. It is a collaborative project of Takashi Iwasaki and Joe Kalturnyk, and their way of interpreting the fleeting and ephemeral night of Nuit Blanche.
