What is our digitized collective unconscious trying to tell us?

A circus tent spirit radio. Our collective dreams are woven into the stories we tell—around campfires, within our communities, and increasingly on Social Media. Keeoukaywin, the michif word for Visiting, places us in a room with a circus tent, on whose cloth walls Miskwa the MAD clown is projected from dream and digital spaces to our reality, to deliver the prophecy of the White Lodge to the community. Since 2012, the RUTAS International Festival of Performance has established itself as the only event of its kind in Canada. Through our mission of Connecting the Americas through the Arts, the festival brings to Toronto some of the most innovative artists representing the bountiful cultural diversity of our continent. With breathtaking presentations in theatre, dance, and performance, RUTAS creates a TransAmerican experience of impeccable quality and excellence for all. Downtown Toronto becomes the meeting place for audiences from across the GTA to be inspired, moved, and entertained by a gamut of rich artistic experiences.

Aluna Theatre

The artistic mission of Aluna Theatre is to embrace the myriad of voices, cultures, and stories of our population, which are transforming the landscape of Canadian theatre. In our plays, works in translation, and international co-creations, people are complex individuals who exist beyond the restrictions of cultural labels. We encourage new hybrids of theatre evolved from a rich collaboration of experiences, performance traditions and media by engaging both emerging and established theatre professionals.
