DIGITAL VISUAL ARTS WORKSHOP | MIXED MEDIA Sept. 27 IN OUR SHOES 2 to 3 p.m. Live on Zoom, pre-registration required (details below) Artist: Leona Skye | Presented by OUT Niagara In Our Shoes Collective Art Project: This project will tell the story of Niagara’s 2SLGBTQ+ community. Participants are invited to share their unique stories by decorating shoes. The pieces of artwork created will be displayed walking in unity to celebrate the diversity of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and their allies. Grab an old pair of shoes and join artist Leona Skye for an online workshop. Decorated shoes can be brought to various drop-off locations (stay tuned for details) and will be on display at the St. Catharines Museum during open hours on October 18. The Cultural Services office is a division of the City of St. Catharines’ Community, Recreation and Culture Services department. Cultural Services focuses on public art, community development, planning and policy related to arts and culture in the City of St. Catharines. During Culture Days, staff partner with organizations and artists to deliver programs for the Community.
