About

Join us for a delightful workshop where we’ll create beautiful sunflower wreaths with Sam Nagel! Sunflowers, the happiest of flowers, symbolize welcome, friendship, and resilience. Hanging a sunflower wreath on your front door is sure to bring smiles to all who see it. Come and join us for a creative and fun-filled session, and take home a beautiful sunflower wreath to brighten your home and your community! Sunflowers are truly a local favourite!

Why Sunflowers?

“Sunflowers make me think of two things – the Ukraine, and the community of East Hill, here in Vernon. This is a symbol of community to me, it reminds me of the collective efforts to welcome, house, and support Ukrainian refugee families in our Canadian communities over the past few years. And anyone who has walked through East Hill in July and August would agree that they’re the unofficial flower of the area. They seem to be grown in everyone’s backyards and are highlighted in all of the small local flower stands too.” – Sam Nagel, Workshop Coordinator

All required supplies are included, except for a hook to hang your wreath.
