About

Drop in and explore! Our collection consists of over 5,000 pieces of old photos, documents, memorabilia and artifacts ranging in age from the early 19th century up to recent days. Included in the archival collection are many exhibits from the town’s rich industrial and sporting history, government documents, local business records and products, as well as native artifacts from before the European settlement.

Organizer

Company of Neighbours

Special community resource centre located the Old Hespeler Town Hall in downtown Hespeler Village, established in 1992 as a sociology research project by local citizens and Professors C. Kenneth Banks of Wilfred Laurier University & J. Marshall Mangan of The University of Western Ontario.

The organization grew to encompass: a community drop-in centre, community events, book and newsletter publishing, and with the establishment of the history group in 1994, the largest collection of Hespeler-related archival material anywhere in the world.
