About
Listen to Dis' founder Traci Foster will lead an intimately inclusion-focused workshop rooted in a creative and physical approach to voice. Traci is Canada's first certified Fitzmaurice Voicework™ instructor who explores her work through somatic art with a focus on where awareness, intuition, and action intersect. She has taught in Saskatchewan, Toronto, Vancouver, and Los Angeles.
Participants will be led through a series of physical exercises (likened to yoga), using breath and voice as a first impulse, to learn how to feel safe and nurtured while expressing. This work will help develop your body and voice to vibrantly express and communicate with ease and pleasure in everyday life, in self-advocacy, and as a creative being. There will be a focus on, and discussions of, mindful approaches to maintaining embodied presence throughout the workshop. All work is trauma informed and is situationally adapted so everyone feels safe and welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is required. For any specific access needs or accommodations, please contact [email protected].
