About
In honour of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, join us September 30 for a day of cultural experiences and reflection, led by MONOVA’s Indigenous Cultural Programmers, Jordan Dawson & Tsawaysia Spukwus.
Visitors of all ages will be welcomed to engage in hands-on activities, creative crafts, and a selection of games developed to inspire meaningful dialogue for families.
Through orange rock decorating, keychain making, a specially-created scavenger hunt and more, learn about the history of Indigenous rights, the significance of Orange Shirt Day, and participate in local Coast Salish culture sharing including storytelling, drumming, and singing.
A reading nook and sensory-friendly station will also be available, plus educational display boards, visual stories, and a guided tour of our galleries in recognition of the day.
