About
During lockdown, Pembroke Public Library borrowed the idea of running a Spice Club from libraries in the States. This simple, passive program where people could sign up to receive a spice/herb,. along with information and a recipe, ended up being Pembroke Public Library's longest running passive program. To celebrate Spice Club entering its 4th year, we are running a Spice Club Cooking Demo, where a special Chinese dish featuring the 'spice of the month' will be featured. Pembroke Public Library celebrates culture and diversity through a variety of food programs such as Spice Club, Potluck Club and Cooking Demos.

Organizer
Pembroke Public Library
Pembroke Public Library is a community hub that celebrates cultures through a variety of dynamic programs. All year round, we conduct programs such as Spice Club, Cooking Demos, Cultural Fashion Shows and Cultural Potlucks. The biggest event that we are well-known for, is the annual Multicultural Festival that takes place in the summer. This is the biggest cultural event in the Ottawa Valley. We are proud to be a key contributor of spreading cultural awareness in Pembroke and the surrounding areas.
