About

Dancer will be performing to the Kriti (song) composed by Mysore Vasudevacharya on Goddess Saraswati

Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, art, wisdom, and nature, represents the free flow of wisdom and consciousness. She is identified as the inventor of Sanskrit and, appropriately, gives Ganesha the gifts of pen and inks. She is also a patron of the arts and sciences. Saraswati is also worshipped as the goddess of learning in Jainism and by some Buddhist sects.

Dancer describes the goddess Saraswati one who reside in the temple of Kamakoti

one who is bearing lotus and veena in her beautiful hands

who gives truth to speech her feet is worshipped by great Emperors and Kings

and her eyes are as beautiful as lotus and her beauty bewitches

She wear the Garlanded with precious Perls and gems

she fulfills the all desires of the good people,

Indra himself bown down before you I, Vasudeva, am your servant

For you are the divine word in its essence.
