About

The Floating Artist Bubble

Presented by Hornepayne Community Arts/Sophia Perlman and the Centre of Ontario Arts Hub.

Last year's end-of-September culture days was a test of community resilience as the weather turned colder and colder through the weekend. The community consensus was that we wanted to create a hub again in 2020 but maybe we would move mostly indoors.

Now in 2020, many of the collaborative spaces we would normally use are mostly under restrictions. And the need for outdoor, socially distanced programming is more important than ever.

From September 25-October 25, as public health advice and policy evolves and adapts to a constantly changing situation, Hornepayne Community Arts will be working with the Township to create opportunities for the community to safely meet, collaborate and create. The "Floating Artist Bubble" will land at various locations in Hornepayne, and limited "community artist" bubbles will be available, with advance sign up on a first-come first serve basis.

Times and locations will be posted on the Hub's Social Media This will allow us to stay adaptable to whatever the weather (or any other circumstance) throws at us. For more information please contact [email protected]
