Painting Plein Air is the best way to inspire a creative masterpiece from any artist. Come Paint with Artist Elisa as she walks you through a painting with the picturesque Pictou scenery, with your own stand up easel and paint supplies. Available to all ages, enjoyed by children and beginners.

This is one of two workshops Elisa is teaching during Culture Days. Please be sure to select the date that works best.

This workshop will take place outside on the waterfront by the new Culture Hub.

Instructor: Elisa Rutledge

Elisa, is an acrylic painter, sculptor, muralist, and art teacher, and dabbles in anything creative that she can get her hands on. She grew up in the beautiful Pictou county, and uses the surroundings to influence her work. Her favourite elements to work with are driftwood, shells, rocks, and uses mushrooms, plants and other beautiful natural elements, and loves to create creatures and whimsical worlds. Elisa is greatly influenced by folklore and pop culture, and recently started illustrating books and published one of her own. She has been teaching kids art classes in the county for over 6 years now, and you can see her murals throughout many of the local schools.
