About

The grass dot represents wilderness through the intelligence of a dot, a globe, an orb. A dot, from a pixel to a celestial sphere, has become for symbol, a prism and a lens through which artist Ewa Tarsia sees her world. It shapes her perception and fuels her imagination. Tarsia’s sculpting medium is grass, the living, seething tangle of blades. It represents the resilience, the tenacity of the natural world that does not give up even when assaulted by concrete, steel, and glass.

Cool Dot is designed by Ewa Tarsia. Presented by StorefrontMB and The Forks, Cool Gardens is a public exhibition of contemporary garden and art installations that celebrate the interface between nature, art, architecture, urbanism and design.
