Yorkton Arts Council

The Yorkton Arts Council is a non-profit organization and registered charity founded February 1, 1966. We are committed to connecting our community to the arts. The Yorkton Arts Council engages our community with professional performing artists through presentation of the Stars for Saskatchewan concert series, Performing Arts in Schools, Prairie Debut concerts, school performances and outreach activities. The Community pARTners Gallery features exhibitions by local artists and those touring through OSAC’s Art on the Move touring program. Workshops, artists lectures, tours and receptions are programmed in conjunction with exhibitions. Our annual fundraiser, Sunflower Art and Craft Market attracts artists and artisans from across western Canada. Dedicated volunteers donate their time, energy to organize and present this event to raise funds in support of the Yorkton Arts Council’s programming. Due to cancellations because of the COVID 19 pandemic, summer 2020 witnessed the beginning of Yorkton Sidewalk Concerts, a free musical series created in partnership with the Community Development Parks and Recreation department of the City of Yorkton.
