MAJE and Youth Art Connection

His name is Michael Earle, but in the studio, people know him as MAJE—a hip hop professional hailing from East Preston, Nova Scotia. He is an artist, and words are his medium. Working as a young black artist in Halifax is not without its challenges; however, when it comes to the hustle, MAJE dedicates his time to helping other young creatives in the area thrive.

Together with Youth Art Connection (YAC)—an organization that works with diverse, talented artists 30 and under—he meets musicians, songwriters, dancers, and visual artists “where they’re at” to help them establish and grow their professional artistic careers. YAC is empowering young artists to transform their creativity from a hobby to a business, championing all to “make art, make money, make change”.
