Elder Dr. Duke Redbird and Wigwam Chi-Chemung

A prolific artist, Elder Dr. Duke Redbird has spent decades demonstrating why artistic expression is especially important for asserting Indigenous presence and histories in communities. In partnership with Myseum of Toronto, his project Wigwam Chi-Chemung uses an Indigenous lens to engage audiences through workshops and interpretive activities, reintroducing the history of the city’s waterfront.
