Ambassador Program

Deadline: June 1, 2020

BC emerging artists are invited to apply to the 2020 BC Culture Days Ambassador Program. Five successful applicants will receive an honorarium and production budget totalling $1,000 to present a community-based project for Culture Days 2020. Eligible projects include in-person events*, live-streamed events, digital presentations (pre-recorded), and self-guided activities. Projects will be presented on the weekend of September 25-27, 2020. Ambassadors will also be matched with an established artist for a 3-month online mentorship. Artists from rural and/or equity-seeking communities are encouraged to apply.

*Organizers must ensure they are adhering to regional government and public health guidelines in their jurisdiction.

“The mentorship program is an incredible way to support young and senior artists. The ability to learn from an established artist on a personal level is the opportunity of a lifetime that, in my opinion, should be experienced by anyone seriously considering a future in art.”

-2019 BC Culture Days Ambassador, Sebastian Nicholson (Prince George)
