Christine is a self-taught artist who has been painting most of her 76 years, having been greatly encouraged by her parents even as a little girl. Although she did take a correspondencs art course in her teens, most of her art education has come from working beside individual artists and taking workshops. She spent much of her life in Thornhill and belonged to the Thornhill Village artists before coming to Bracebridge where she now belongs to the “Brown Baggers” and enjoys the “plein air “ work. She has mostly worked in realistic watercolours but has recently been experimenting with an impressionist watercolour technique.
