Alberta College of Art and Design (Lodgepole Center)
In acknowledgement of the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) being situated on Treaty 7 land, the high volume of Indigenous learners at ACAD and in response to recommendations made by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, the doors of ACAD's Indigenous resource space, the Lodgepole Center (LPC) were opened in September 2016. Since it's inception, the LPC has facilitated a wide variety of cultural and traditional programming, including an Elder on Campus, mentorship and language programs.
