On September 29 from 6 to 8pm, come out to the Arts and Culture District at UBC to celebrate Culture Days in British Columbia. The Audain Art Centre lobby will be filled with food, musicians, comedians, spoken word poets, and artists for a spectacular open mic event right outside the AHVA Gallery. Sign up to perform or take it all in as an audience member, and be sure to check out the painting exhibition The Diviners in the gallery, featuring the work of UBC visual art alumni and curated by UBC faculty members Marina Roy and Phil McCrum. All are welcome to take part in the UBC Arts and Culture District celebration of Culture Days!

Audain Art Centre
The AHVA Gallery is located in room 1001 in the Audain Art Centre at 6398 University Boulevard, University of British Columbia, Vancouver. This 2000 square foot purpose-built, contemporary exhibition space serves the Visual Art, Art History and Curatorial Studies programs of the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory at the University of British Columbia. Providing a site for student and faculty artistic and curatorial collaborations from within the department, the university as a whole and with artists and art students outside the university community; the Gallery allows for interactions on issues relating to art, culture and creative research. Each academic year the Gallery provides a showcase for the work of student, faculty and other professional artists through the BFA, MFA and Faculty exhibitions as well as selected curatorial projects.
