About
Au Set Bellydance has hosted an event as part of Culture Days since its debut in 2010! That first year we were in our own studio and hosted free classes as well as performances by local dance artists. Each year since then it has been one of our most important events as we share the art of bellydancing with as many people as possible.
This year as part of the 10th Anniversary of Culture Days we are hosting a unique event led by Master Choreographer and Artistic Director of internationally renowned Arabesque Dance Company, Earthshakers and YRArt's Global Collective.
Yasmina will travel to Winnipeg to create a dynamic and theatrical choreography with a group of dancers who will come together from across Canada and the US to participate in this new and unique project.
The result of the weekend collaboration will end with a full-length performance featuring the ensemble work as well as performances by some of the individual participants as solos and group works.
The performance will be followed by a question and answer with Yasmina and the participants about the process of creating the dance.
The performance is free.
Suitable for all ages.

Beth Syrnyk is a dance artist, performer, teacher and mentor, she has been bellydancing for over 30 years and has no plans to stop any time soon! She was the owner of Au Set Bellydance Emporium in Winnipeg where she taught more than 1000 students the art of bellydance over a 7 year period. Her vision is to share the joy of bellydance with as many people as possible while keeping the art and music of Egypt in every step.
