About

The Long Point School (SS#5) was built in 1862 and closed in 1960. Ownership of the property reverted back to the O’Connor family who rehabbed it to reflect school days circa 1900. It is currently owned by Denis and Margaret Brennan, Margaret is the great- great- granddaughter of Daniel O’Connor, the original land owner.

Descendants of Daniel O’Connor and Bridget Trainor, pioneer settlers at Long Point (1830), south of Lyndhurst will be showing their artistic talents at the Long Point School during the Lyndhurst Art & Culture Tour. All are welcome to tour the school, visit with the artists and ring the School Bell.
