Drum Circles are not all about drumming! Drum circles are about so much more. They are an effective tool for health and wellness and a breath of fresh air in our fragmented stressed out world.

The drumming and dancing will begin at 3 pm right outside the Township of Scugog in Port Perry.

Established in 2005, the Scugog Arts is a not-for-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors and is dedicated to providing a strong voice for arts and culture in Scugog Township and to promoting and growing the arts in all areas of the community. Scugog Arts members include individuals, businesses and organizations that participate in or support a vibrant local cultural scene, which includes theatre, music, dance, visual and graphic art, craft, literary arts, and arts education.

Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation

The Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation moved into southern Ontario from their former homeland north of Lake Huron around the year 1700. The Mississaugas are a branch of the greater Ojibwa Nation, one of the largest native groups in Canada.
