Cultural Event Management for Rural Presenters with Crystal Kolt
David Di Benedetto is the Digital Strategy Project Manager for the City of Vaughan. In this role, Di Benedetto responsible for delivering, in conjunction with the CIO, a Digital Strategy and 5-year implementation plan for the corporation that will kick-start Vaughan's digital transformation. Di Benedetto continues to build upon a dynamic career culminating in experiences such as Creative Development + Marketing Coordinator at the City of Vaughan where he took the lead on strategic grassroots and City-wide marketing campaigns, art direction and corporate branding initiatives. His work with the City has led to multiple prestigious award designations. As an entrepreneur in the private sector, his projects have included Creative Director for Arabella Magazine and the development of progressive branding programs for numerous corporate and public-sector clients such as the Township of Oro-Medonte.
Camila Garcia is a co-founder of Rebel Creative Media, a Toronto-based video production company specializing in the creation of original video content and effective marketing solutions for business and organizations. Camila is a documentary filmmaker with a relentless passion for art and all things creative, who is dedicated to finding stories within the people and places she meets, as well as innovative ways of telling them through video.
Pedro Miguez is a co-founder of Rebel Creative Media, a Toronto-based video production company specializing in the creation of original video content and effective marketing solutions for business and organizations. Pedro is a Cinematographer with over 9 years of experience working in film, television and branded-content productions in Canada and internationally.
For more than 20 years, Glenna Turnbull has been specializing in capturing the true essence of people using both the candid fly-on-the-wall approach as well as her natural ability to put people at ease. With a specialized niche of working with tricky theatre lighting, she’s been sought after by ballet and theatre companies to capture their live show and dress rehearsals. Her work has been featured on several magazine covers and in editorials for a wide variety of magazines, ranging from Beautiful British Columbia and its Traveller magazine to Dance International, Dance Canada Danse and several in-flight magazines. Clients have ranged from Cirque du Soleil to professional and semi-professional ballet companies for producing posters, souvenir programmes and promotional material. She has been the photographer of choice for the past few years for BC’s Culture Days in Kelowna. She also works as a stained glass artist and writer in beautiful Kelowna, BC.
Mercedes has more than a decade of media experience with Rogers and Bell Media in public relations, advertising, brand partnerships, and communications. As a consultant she’s developed and led initiatives for non-profit and private clients, resulting in increased audience engagement, brand awareness, stronger sponsorship collaboration, and sustained media coverage. Mercedes specializes in unearthing your story and telling it in such a way that people can’t help but listen.
In the past 20 years, Jeffrey has brought a blend of strategy, brilliance and award-winning design to his work at BT/A. A classically trained designer, Jeffrey is an expert at balancing compelling design with new and innovative ideas across all channels. Jeffrey is BT/A’s strategic creative lead, managing creative across multiple channels.
Joshua is a designer and production artist with more than 15 years of agency and in-house work under his belt. He has contributed to the rebranding of companies such as A&P (USA), American Express and Walmart (CAN), covering everything from illustration to food packaging to national and international ad campaigns.
Kaitlyn Patience is in charge of planning the Milton Culture Days events. Milton is known for its successful integration of multiple activities within one central Hub location, the FirstOntario Arts Centre in Milton. Kaitlyn has worked in both public and commercial art galleries, and with not-for-profit organizations like Craft Ontario. Her talent lays in event planning, and her passion is to connect communities to arts and culture in a welcoming way.
Crystal Kolt, O.M., is a talented musician and dynamo arts executive who, with boundless enthusiasm, dedicates an incredible amount of energy and hard work to develop a thriving arts and culture scene in the north. Kolt is a typical Canadian artist who has several jobs. She is the cultural coordinator of the Flin Flon Arts Council, coordinator of Culture Days Flin Flon, a member of the provincial task force for Culture Days Manitoba, and director of the Flin Flon Community Choir.
