Organizer

Jackson & Munson Studio Gallery

Independent practicing artists and creatives, Kayla Jackson and Connie Munson, as members of the Belfountain Heritage Society, are temporarily operating their Studio Gallery out of the Melville White Church this fall.

Jackson is a nearby resident of Alton, recent graduate of Sheridan's Illustration program, and recipient of Orangeville's 2021 Best Local Artist, Readers' Choice award. Her first solo show explored the charm and beauty of her historical home town in the Falls Gallery at Alton Mill Arts Centre this summer. She paints plein air and in the studio capturing Canadian landscapes in acrylics and has a growing demand for commissioned pieces.

Munson resides in the northeast corner of Brampton and is a self-taught photographer, artist, and writer. Primarily painting with soft pastels, she regularly photographs in the hills and Headwaters region. Her photography hangs in local offices, currently in the O.L.A. In-Camera Dining Room, at Queens' Park, with one piece awarded third place in its category in 2021 at the McMichael Gallery.

Jackson & Munson look forward to engaging with the local communities and visitors to this destination area with their gallery themed shows and activities during the glorious season of fall colors.
