Maison Macdonell-Williamson House

National Historic Site - circa 1817. Built by John Macdonell a fur trader and partner in the Northwest Company. Married Magdeleine Poitras a Metis from Qu'Appelle, Manitoba. Open to the public during July and August weekends with various displays and events depicting the history of the house and its descendants. We are working to have the house become a cultural, historical and tourist centre serving nearby Counties and beyond by having events such as Culture Days.
