In celebration of Culture Days, visit the Port Hope Archives to learn about the collection and resources available at the Archives, and view our latest exhibit on display, "225 Years of Agriculture in Hope Township". Our archivist will be available to help with your research, and use of the Archives will be free to non-members for the day. This is a drop-in activity.

From the 401 exit go south on Ontario Street and stay left at the fork to continue onto Mill Street. The Archives is located on the left side (just before the Walton Street intersection).
Port Hope Archives
The Port Hope Archives exists to collect and preserve archival materials which illustrate the growth and development of the Municipality of Port Hope, or which pertain in whole or in part to activities within the geographic boundaries of the Municipality of Port Hope. Our collection includes: photographs, postcards, minute books, ledgers, diaries, land registry, organizational records, scrapbooks, Municipal records (inc. assessment rolls), personal papers, directories, local history books, probates, genealogical materials, local history related publications, and more.
