Celebration of Kaiani Arts

Multi-Purpose Building Stand Off, Alberta

Indigenous, Maker Culture — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion

Kainai Public Library will host a two day "Celebration of Kainai Art" on September 28 and 29, 2018. We will have an elder bless our tipi as it represents the knowledge that is shared to our communities and open to all. We will offer an opportunity for the public to participate and observe various arts, including dance, song, importance of our resources and uses as functional art, be able to participate in the construction of a traditional doll, and traditional foods. We are inviting local artists to display their works as inspiration to our youth.
