Kidlit Writing Workshop with Nahid Kazemi

Literature and Spoken Word — Hands-On Activity

In celebration of Culture Days, Nahid Kazemi -- author of the Fall 2018 Groundwood Books title I'm Glad That You're Happy -- will be delivering a FREE workshop for aspiring writers and/or illustrators at the historic Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) in downtown Brampton. The workshop is designed for individuals 14 and older. Attendees are encouraged to register to ensure a spot.

Nahid Kazemi is an Iranian artist who received her master’s degree in painting from Tehran Art University in 2007. She started her professional career in 2003 as a graphic designer and illustrator, when she was still in college . She received the first award in book illustration at the Scientific and Cultural Annual Festival in 2007.

The PAMA parking lot is under construction. Please use public lots at City Hall (George Street) or under the apartment building on John Street, or street parking on Wellington if you are able to walk 100-200 meters. If you have any difficulties or discomforts walking 100-200 meters (parking space to doors of the workshop), please email us at and we will provide you with special instructions and support to minimize discomfort.
