The Tourchester Band

City Hall - Ken Whillans Square Brampton, Ontario

Music, Multicultural — Other

Come out to enjoy the music of The Tourchester Band, all the Way from Germany! They will be performing with Brampton's own Chinguacousy Concert Band on Saturday, September 29th at Brampton City Hall's Ken Whillans Square. The Tourchester Band was founded as the "Feuerwehrkapelle Lich" more than 75 years ago. The band has organized many concert-tours to France, Austria, the "former DDR", Italy, and more. In 1993 the band asked themselves why they shouldn’t come to the United States and Canada for some concerts. After a short time of finding hosts, looking for concerts venues and so on, the band flew to Vancouver in 1994 for the first time.
