Forest & Fungi Connections @ Stonemote Cottage

Share in a unique combination of experiences connecting with fungi and other forest dwellers. A guided hike is an invitation to experience the forest in a deeper way. We will focus on opening our senses to deepen connection with the plants and animals we encounter on a lovely walk-about through old trees. Be prepared to meet fascinating mushrooms and interesting autumn edibles with a local enthusiastic naturalist. A workshop on the wonders of growing, cooking and eating Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms offers tastes and hands-on learning. Learn ways of bringing the benefits of these delicious and super nutritious fungi into your garden and meals. All ages are welcome. Thanks for pre-registering to keep it a quality small group experience.

Event hosts Stonemote Cottage provide guided restorative yoga practices and reflexology treatments, experiential workshops, and seasonal educational forest/garden wanderings. We are open year-round by appointment or event. Partners Myco-op are a network of forest stewards and mushroom enthusiasts in the Almaguin Highlands. We grow and sell Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms, grow-your-own logs and offer educational workshops and experiences connecting folk with the wonders of fungi.
