The Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG) is celebrating 60 years with an exhibition entitled Unpacking IKG: 60 Years a Gallery and this is a workshop in conjunction.
Public art appears in many forms, from easily recognizable monuments to more challenging approaches such as graffiti. This easy-to-follow workshop enables you to readily understand multiple forms of artistic practice, focusing on historical and contemporary public art. The program structure incorporates topical examples of public art from Calgary and beyond, including a user-friendly worksheet and walking tour of selected public artworks on campus.
