Outlaw/Cowboy History in Bengough & AreaBengough, Saskatchewan
Heritage, Crafts — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion
We will be working with the Bengough School for our Culture Days Activity: 1) There will be a brief history presentation about the outlaws of the Big Muddy area to the primary grades at Bengough School. 2) The students will participate in songs, crafts, and activities related tot he Western theme. 3) We will offer a paint night for Grades 6-12 focusing on our Western theme. 4) The public will be invited to Bengough Museum to view displays celebrating the history of the Big Muddy Valley Outlaws who travelled the area in the 1800's, along with a display of articles celebrating the accomplishments of our local cowboys. Refreshments and snacks will be provided for those in attendance.

Bengough & District Museum
The Bengough & District Museum has been in existence since 1996. It was established to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit the history for the Town & R.M. of Bengough, plus the surrounding community. Close to 100% of our collection is documented and given an accession number for easy tracking. We held Culture Days in 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 with the following activities: Dance/Music/Art Workshops, Crafts, Storytelling, Children's Activities, Cultural and Historical Displays, Tours, etc.
