Local historian David Yates will share a part of Huron County’s artistic legacy by profiling George Agnew Reid, a Wingham native and famous Canadian artist, who would help found the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Charles “Trick” Currelly who established the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and William N. Cresswell who emigrated to Canada in 1848 and settled near Egmondville and is known for his early Canadian landscapes, including what is believed to be the first depiction of Bayfield.
