Trinity United Church Huntsville, Ontario

Music — Hands-On Activity

We will have a DVD slide show running illustrating Muskoka Music Men "in action", complete with a sound track of some of the songs that we will be currently working on, so that attendees can "get a feel" for the type of music we sing, and the distinctive sound of a cappella four-part harmony in the barbershop style From time to time during the day we will have several of our singers around encouraging attendees to sing along with us. Our overall message will be "You Can Sing Too!" We meet for rehearsals on Monday nights at Chartwell Muskoka Traditions, 16 Legacy Lane, Huntsville at 7:30 pm. Men of all ages are invited to join in the fun and fellowship.

The Muskoka Music Men sing a variety of songs, ranging from old time favourites, through gospel music, to show tunes and more recent upbeat selections – all arranged in the distinctive four-part barbershop harmony style. The chorus and individual quartets perform at local events – including birthdays, anniversaries, and “Singing Valentines” – and annually present one major “Night of Harmony” show. Our 30th Anniversary Show will be on Saturday August 17, 2019 at Huntsville’s Algonquin Theatre.
