Wayne Arthur Gallery Winnipeg, Manitoba

Music, Visual Arts — Other

black-eyed SUZIE will perform a concert at Wayne Arthur Gallery on Sunday, September 30 at 2 PM for Culture Days. Haunting melodies and rich harmonics combined with warm atmospheric rhythms is what black-eyed SUZIE is all about. Known formerly as the quaint small town family band from rural Manitoba, they launched onto the Manitoba Folk-Rock music scene in 2013 captivating audiences at Winnipeg Fringe, Fire n' Water, and Harvest Sun Festivals. Following a hiatus and move to Winnipeg in 2014, the band's original mother-daughter core duo, Christine and Jara Marek, have reinvented themselves along with fellow friend and musician from Labrador, Sara Jane Hamel. Relatable to young and old alike, black-eyed SUZIE's storied songs speak of finding some beautiful truth
