Ewa Tarsia envisions her world as a dot, a cool blue sphere. Flooded with sunlight, it explodes in green, coruscating life and manifests directly into her art. Tarsia's sculpting medium is grass and it represents the resilience, the tenacity of the natural world that does not give up even when assaulted by concrete, steel, and glass. The grass dot represents wilderness through the intelligence of a dot, a globe, an orb.

Storefront Manitoba is a Winnipeg-based non-profit dedicated to advancing awareness of and appreciation for architecture, design and the built environment. Storefront promotes critical discussion, exploration and celebration of urbanism and design culture. It offers an accessible wide range of programming to the broader community, while also working to support discussion and cross-pollination within the design community itself.
