Cure de Ville by Janelle TougasLa Maison des artistes visuels francophones Winnipeg, Manitoba
Architecture, Design — Other
Cure de Ville is an installation that seems to be either an outdoor shower or a public fountain. It is manually activated and thus encourages an interaction with the piece. The hope is that the participant will experience a sensory palette cleansing that will allow them to approach the sculpture garden with refreshed (and cooled!) senses.
Cool Gardens is a public exhibition of contemporary garden and art installations offering a shift of sensation for the summer—cooling—as a general theme for public projects in the downtown, bringing architects, designers, landscape architects, and artists together to celebrate contemporary garden culture and the local landscape.
