Visual Arts, Crafts — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion

The school workshops are made available to students in grades 4, 5 and 6 and is designed to give students an opportunity to experience something new. The workshop will be Relief Print Making. This involves drawing deep lines into Styrofoam and using ink or paint to transfer this image onto paper. This is the cheapest way to do a block print and the safest and most accessible for children.

Our mandate is to provide the residents of Weyburn and surrounding area with quality programs and knowledge about arts and culture so as to improve quality of life and gain an appreciation for arts, culture and heritage. These workshops educate the public about art, culture and heritage through hands on participation, information sharing and group discussion. They are free and assessable and fun.
