Multi/Interdisciplinary, Indigenous — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion
The Alberta College of Art + Design's Lodgepole Center will be hosting a spectrum of Indigenous cultural programming, including traditional medicinal smudgings to open daily programming, followed by drum performances and drum-making demonstrations (10am-12pm). Traditional food samplings and storytelling will also be offered (12pm-2pm).
Although drop-in attendance is welcome, visitors are encouraged to attend for the entirety of the daily programming to immerse themselves in the full experience.

Alberta College of Art and Design (Lodgepole Center)
In acknowledgement of the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) being situated on Treaty 7 land, the high volume of Indigenous learners at ACAD and in response to recommendations made by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, the doors of ACAD's Indigenous resource space, the Lodgepole Center (LPC) were opened in September 2016. Since it's inception, the LPC has facilitated a wide variety of cultural and traditional programming, including an Elder on Campus, mentorship and language programs.
