Varley Art Gallery
The Varley Art Gallery opened in 1997 with a founding collection donated by Kathleen Gormley McKay. The gallery is named after Frederick Horsman Varley, an original member of Canada’s famed Group of Seven. With 45,000 visitors annually, the Varley Art Gallery has become a preeminent cultural institution serving communities in Markham, York Region and the GTA, while reaching audiences nationally and internationally.
