Telling the Past: Introduction to Writing MemoirGodfrey Dean Cultural Centre Yorkton, Saskatchewan
Literature and Spoken Word — Other
Most of us have life stories that we would like to record for ourselves or for family and friends. However, most of us have not taken the time to capture those experiences on paper. If you have something you want to write, then consider joining the memoir workshop.
This class will introduce you to
-Writing your own stories
-Moving from first to second draft
-Forming a group of like-minded people to support you through the process.
We ask you to bring an object that suggests a memory: a photo, a piece of needlework, a song, a recipe, anything else that speaks to your past. And of course, you will need paper, pen, laptop, and all your open-minded creativity.
