Social Media for Artists - ArtBiz Talk with Jeff WilsonPort Moody, British Columbia
Multi/Interdisciplinary, Visual Arts — Talks and Discussion, Behind-the-scenes
Jeff Wilson's work is immediately recognizable by its combination of dynamic composition, unusual subject and vibrant palette. Viewed from a distance, his work is almost photographic in intensity, while rough brushstrokes are visible closer up.
Wilson's paintings illustrate aspects of a given place or time, deliberately chosen as recognizable subjects from unusual perspectives, to make people think about our world and appreciate it.
Jeff has produced several painting collections in recent years, covering diverse subjects as working vehicles, neon signs, animal portraits, Vancouver’s people and urban landscape. These have exhibited across a wide range of public galleries in BC, Alberta and Washington State. In addition to over 20 solo shows, Jeff has received several awards.
