Heritage, Multicultural — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion
We are planning a one-day, free, hands-on Culture Day on Friday, September 28 from 9:00am to 7:00pm at the Allan Parkland Hall.
Activities include 1) Blacksmithing (weather permitting) 2) Screwing together small wooden boxes, sanding and painting them 3) Butter Churning 4) Making German Peppernuts (cookies) 5) Paper Cutting (paper dolls) 6)Spool Knitting 7)Using Wood Working Tools 8) Basic Embroidery 9)Using a Post Drill.
These activities will be accompanied by 6 Displays including the Quill Plains Travelling Elevator Display!

Allan Parkland Hall
The Allan Community Heritage Society and Museum is a Unique small town Museum. We work to involve the people of Allan and surrounding community in the preservation and celebration of our own heritage through the collection of display of local artefacts and oral histories. The Museum features a permanent collection of over 3,000 local photos and displays in two buildings and exhibits change yearly. This Museum is run by a passionate Board of Directors that host a variety of events.
