Work and Play - Tool or Instrument Photo: Muskoka Heritage Place

Work and Play - Tool or Instrument

Huntsville, Ontario

Music, Heritage — Hands-On Activity, Collective Creation

Once the work was done, those same tools became the source of entertainment and magically transformed the tediousness of pioneer settler life into a vibrant explosion of music. You may not find this music on the Billboard chart but it would have made their day. View some pioneer instruments and try your hand at playing instruments made from things lying around the settler’s home.
