Play in a DayRotary Centre for the Arts Kelowna, British Columbia
Theatre, Multi/Interdisciplinary — Hands-On Activity, Collective Creation
Register as a team of 2-6 people on Saturday, September 29 at the Play in a Day kick-off event where you will be given rules, props, and prompts for your plays. You will then have 24-hours before you must present your creations to an audience.
Teams will be responsible for all creative aspects of the production, being sure to incorporate the prompts given. Assistance from local theatre professionals will be available throughout the planning process.
After the 24-hours is up, teams will be adjudicated by Christopher Weddell, a graduate of the Playhouse Acting School and founding member & past Artistic Associate of Bard on the Beach. Winning teams will be awarded either a judges and/or an audience-choice prize.

The kick-off event will be in the Sun FM room on Sat, Aug 29 at 6 pm. The final performances will be in the Mary Irwin Theatre on Sun, Aug 29 at 6 pm. Both locations are on the main floor of the Rotary Centre for the Arts.
Elana Bizovie is an actor, director, & arts administrator situated in the Central Okanagan, BC. She received her training at the University of Alberta & holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in drama & anthropology. Her passion for storytelling has developed into a strong interest in multi-disciplinary approaches to performance art. She is focused on creating more opportunities for artists across all disciplines to collaborate on work that reflects community voices.
