Knitting and Crochet DemonstrationStratford, Ontario
Crafts — Hands-On Activity, Talks and Discussion
We share ideas and learn knitting and crocheting techniques from basics to advanced. There will be demonstrations of the basic knitting steps as well as yarn, needles, and hooks for observers to try. Our members will be working on their projects. We will have information about social events and fairs people can attend and the beneficial effects of knitting. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, there will be a 1918 pattern for servicemen and a sample item made according to the original pattern and an updated version. Free copies of the pattern will be available.
