Culture Days at Mackin HouseCoquitlam, British Columbia
Heritage, Visual Arts — Hands-On Activity, Behind-the-scenes
Join us for hands-on activities and tours our new exhibit, Heirlooms and Treasures.
Personal collections, family heirlooms, specialized skills, even stories about our ancestors are the things we hold close to our hearts, and many people living in Coquitlam have family connections that tie them to different parts of the world. When we share our culture, we strengthen our connections with each other by fostering an understanding and affection for our traditions. In this unique exhibition, we are offering the public an opportunity to celebrate their precious heritage while offering strategic solutions to ensure these treasures are not lost in time.

Mackin House is an Edwardian home built in 1909, and is staged with period appropriate furniture and artifacts. It served as the company home for upper management of the Fraser Mills Lumber Company. Coquitlam Heritage now operates Mackin House. We strive to preserve, honour, and promote Coquitlam's diverse heritage and history.
