Places That Matter Plaque Presentation Francophone VillageVancouver, British Columbia
Join us in celebrating the history of Vancouver's Francophone Village/Village Francophone! We will be presenting two Places That Matter plaques at Saint-Sacrament Church at 12:30pm. Displays with archival photos and information will be shown, speeches from community members and pioneers of the area will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Learn directly about Vancouver's original french quarter and how its evolved since the 1950s. All are welcome to attend! Afterwards, we hope you will also contribute to the Community History Resource website which features this site, plaque #86 and many more Places That Matter in Vancouver.

The presentation begins at 12:30pm so please arrive shortly before. The ceremony will be 1 hour maximum followed by a wine and cheese reception and an opportunity for mingling and viewing the displays for 2 hours. Saint- Sacrement Church is located at 3040 Heather Street, just North of West 16th Avenue.
